Fones Cliffs is a stunning 4-mile stretch of white-colored diatomaceous cliffs rising more than 100 feet above the Rappahannock River in 维吉尼亚州. This nearly pristine and majestic site is the ancestral home of the Rappahannock Tribe and has been designated by the National Audubon Society as an Important Bird Area with global significance for resident and migratory bald eagles and other migratory birds. This largely unspoiled landscape is a place of both natural and cultural importance and is a key feature along the Chesapeake Trail.
